My scanner is TWAIN compliant, but ReceiptWallet or DocumentWallet doesn't show it as a choice? |
||||
This is likely due to the scanner drivers not being Intel native. While some companies say that their drivers work on Intel based machines, they are not native. The applies to most EPSON, Canon, Brother and Lexmark scanners. In order to use your scanner with ReceiptWallet or DocumentWallet, you must run it under Rosetta. From the Finder, locate the ReceiptWallet or DocumentWallet application, choose Get Info from the file menu and click the "Open using Rosetta" option (as pictured below) and then re-launch ReceiptWallet or DocumentWallet.
If you have a Fujitsu ScanSnap, please see the article on that scanner. If you have an old AGFA scanner, it is not TWAIN compliant. In order to import files into the applications, you will first need to scan them and then import them. Please note that we strongly recommend against running our software under Rosetta; it doesn't run as fast and may have strange issues that we cannot fix. You should contact your scanner vendor and request a newer driver as there is no excuse for scanners not to have Intel native drivers at this point in time. However, if your scanner doesn't have appropriate drivers, you can always import files after scanning them. |
